Taking to the main stage at Coachella '07 with a crowd of over 30,000 in the audience to close out Saturday's schedule following the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tiësto played an epic set that encompassed only his productions. Thinking of the 'Elements of Life' show as more of a concert, the Holland born DJ knew it had to be something incredible, and that it was. Both pleasing his fans, and opening the door of new experience for the entire Coachella audience, Tiësto was on point musically, and the stunning stage backdrop synched the audio event with the theme of the album. Large screens and LED curtains provided the visual aspect with captivating images of fire, water, air and earth, each essential element intertwined with the human form. At the end of the performance, the entire audience that reached far back onto the polo grounds, paid homage to Tiësto, with hands in the air, chanting his name.
Since its release on Ultra Records on April 10th, Tiësto's third artist album, 'Elements of Life', has been on the charts. Opening at #1 on Billboard's Electronic Album chart on week of release, it remains firmly in the same spot, and hit #71 for its debut on the Top 200, and is currently at #9 in the Top Independent Album category.
